Free Workshop on Dementia: How To Prepare For The Future

Tues-Thurs September 23, 24, & 25, 7:30pm ET Daily

Are you overwhelmed with caregiving?

Join me in a workshop where you’ll learn exactly what to do and say to make upcoming dementia challenges easier so you can get the peace in your home you deserve (even if you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and at the end of your rope.)

Your 3 day online workshop will consist of the following…

  • Learning how to prepare for the future – what to expect and what to put in place now so you don’t get blindsided later when:

  1. Your person with dementia refuses meals, showers, medication, or brushing their teeth.

  2. Sundowning sets in and evenings feel out of control.

  3. They repeatedly ask to go home and you aren’t sure how to respond.

  4. They argue with logic, reason, or evidence and nothing seems to work.

  5. Late stage dementia begins and you need to know what to expect and how to plan ahead.

  6. You realize you can’t do this alone and need the right support system in place.

  • Each day we will look at a common mistake, including:

    • Day 1: Not having the right mindset or expectations for early, middle, and late stage dementia.

    • Day 2: Not knowing what to say and do when the 3 most common challenging dementia behaviors show up.

    • Day 3: Failing to prepare for the future or to get the right support system in place – this is the biggest mistake family caregivers make, so if you’re caring for a family member, make sure not to miss day 3!

  • Role-playing in Zoom “breakout rooms” with your fellow participants at the end of each session. These are private, virtual rooms with a few other participants so you can practice what you learn and get to see what other caregivers are experiencing. This is optional - you won’t need to join a breakout room if you don’t want to.

  • Get hands-on practice with Krista if you choose to volunteer.

  • Get breakthroughs & see results in the real world - 1 easy five minute action step at the end of each session. You’ll get the best results by coming to all three days, and especially the last day. There will be an encore on Sunday, Sep. 28 @ 2pm ET if you can’t make it Thursday.

  • Get extra help - we’ll have a big Questions & Answers (Q&A) session on the last day immediately following the end of the workshop, and some follow up Q&A sessions on Tuesday, Sep. 30 & Wednesday, Oct. 1 (also at 7:30pm ET on Zoom each day) where you can ask questions live and get personal help with whatever is in your way, to make sure you get results that make your life as a caregiver easier.

You will also receive:

  • Free printable cheat sheets via email after each session for lasting results (both for implementing changes and for a future quick-reference of what you learned.)

  • A chance to win prizes on the last day.

  • A community of other caregivers to bounce ideas off of, to share your wins & build friendships with by joining our special event Facebook group.

  • Strategies, activities, and exact things to say to prevent or calm common challenging behaviors so you get results with your person with dementia instead of wasting time and energy, allowing you to have more free time so you can experience more relief and freedom.

You’ll walk away feeling more prepared, more grounded, and more connected to caregivers who truly get it.
