How To Stop The 4 Most Common Challenging Dementia Behaviors

Thank you for being a caregiver who is committed enough to sign up for this workshop!

We’ll email you and text you reminders as the event comes up and I will also send you an email with more details soon.

Please read the details below for more info. I can’t wait to see you there!

Are you overwhelmed with caregiving?

Join me in a workshop where you’ll learn exactly what to do and say to make challenging behaviors easier so you can get the peace in your home you deserve (even if you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and at the end of your rope.)

Your 3 day online workshop will consist of the following…

  • Learning exactly what to do and say to stop and prevent the 4 most common challenging behaviors including:

  1. When they refuse things like meals, showers, or brushing their teeth.

  2. When they get agitated and blame you for things.

  3. When they want to leave or go home.

  4. When they get worse later in the day (including specific activities to try that prevent this.)

  • Participate in Zoom “Breakout Rooms” with your fellow participants at the end of each session. These are private, virtual rooms with a few other participants so you can practice what you learn and get to see what other caregivers are experiencing. This is optional - you won’t need to join a breakout room if you don’t want to.

  • Get hands-on practice with Krista if you choose to volunteer.

  • Get breakthroughs & see results in the real world - 1 easy five minute action step at the end of each session. You’ll get the best results by coming to all three days, and especially the last day. There will be an encore on Sunday, Sep. 28 @ 2pm ET if you can’t make it Thursday.

  • Get extra help - we’ll have a big Questions & Answers (Q&A) session on the last day immediately following the end of the workshop, and some follow up Q&A sessions on Tuesday, Sep. 30 & Wednesday, Oct. 1 (also at 7:30pm ET on Zoom each day) where you can ask questions live and get personal help with whatever is in your way, to make sure you get results that make your life as a caregiver easier.

You will also receive:

  • Free printable cheat sheets via email after each session for lasting results (both for implementing changes and for a future quick-reference of what you learned.)

  • A chance to win prizes on the last day.

  • A community of other caregivers to bounce ideas off of, to share your wins & build friendships with by joining our special event Facebook group. This is a great way to participate if you can’t be there live.

  • Strategies, activities, and exact things to say to prevent or calm common challenging behaviors so you get results with your person with dementia instead of wasting time and energy, allowing you to have more free time so you can experience more relief and freedom.

FAQS for Workshop

  • Days 1 & 2 are 60 minutes long and Day 3 is 90 minutes long. If you can only make one session, come to day 3.

  • You don't. However if you can only come to 1 night live, come to day 3 were we tie everything together. If you can’t make it on Thursday, Sep. 25, we will have an encore on Sunday, Sep. 28 at 2pm US E.T.

  • Yes there will be if you sign up. However, if you can come live, you'll get the best results.

  • You can get a lot out of watching or listening and you don’t need to volunteer. However, you'll get the most out of participating… even if that’s just via Zoom’s chat box.

  • It’s completely free!

  • Yes, you can be late if you need to be.

  • On the Internet over Zoom. Once you sign up on the email form on this page, you’ll be notified by email and text with the link to join the zoom as we get closer. It’s very easy - just click the link 15 minutes before we start and follow the prompts. Zoom was made for the technology illiterate!

  • Simply by signing up for the event to get most of them. We email those out after each day. You’ll get a few bonus ones by being there live.

  • We require your phone number so we can send you text reminders. We won’t call you - we will only be sending a few text messages related to the workshop. We have found that sending reminders more than doubles the amount of caregivers who show up.

You can respond to any text message with the word “Stop” and our system will automatically take you off our list of phone numbers.

  • The workshop takes place on 3 days: September 23 (Tuesday), September 24 (Wednesday), and September 25 (Thursday), at 7:30pm United States Eastern Time each day.

If you can’t make Thursday, there will be an encore of it on Sunday, September 28, at 2:00pm United States Eastern Time.

There will also be additional Questions & Answers sessions so you can take what you learn from the workshop, go try it out, and then come back and ask questions! These will be on September 30th (Tuesday), and October 1st (Wednesday), at 7:30pm United States Eastern Time, and those will also be on Zoom.

We will also have some less official Questions & Answers sessions (mostly to get through extra questions asked during the workshop) on social media from September 26 - October 1, so make sure to follow @DementiaSuccessPath on Youtube, Instagram, & Facebook if you don’t want to miss anything!

  • We will have an encore of the workshop on Sunday, September 28, at 2:00pm US E.T. (which is 19:00 or 7:00pm GMT / IST.)

We will provide you with replays of the main event by Friday and will have a couple of other live Q&A sessions after the workshops on social media at a variety of times as well so there’s tons of opportunities to watch everything and participate live.

Just signup on this page and you’ll be notified of the Q&A sessions as we go.
