+ When to Join
The membership only opens a few times a year (roughly once every 4-6 months)
Get on the waitlist to be notified the next time we open. A big hint as well is if you see we are hosting a free workshop event, we are likely opening our doors soon.
+ How Much is the Membership & Discounts
The membership is currently $27 a month.
However, if you join the waitlist, you will get a 25% discount on membership ($20 a month).
Also, if you sign up during one of our free workshops, that is another chance to get you will get a 25% discount on your monthly membership.
+ VIP Membership & Discounts
VIP membership is a higher level of membership that costs $37 a month. However, if you get on the waitlist or sign up during a free workshop, you get 25% off ($27 a month).

+ Who Runs the Membership?
My name is Krista Mesenbrink,CDP, AT, MT-BC. I have worked for the last 5 years hands on with thousands of dementia patients as an Activity Therapist at a psychiatric hospital for geriatric folks that only takes patients with extreme behaviors.
In addition to my work, I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner and have a certification in Person Centered Care from the Alzheimer's Association.

In total, the content of the membership lasts for 12 months or one year.

+ What Does the Membership Not Include?
The membership aims to teach/support you in learning how to better communicate and engage your LOWD/client in activities for the purpose of managing challenging dementia behaviors.
The membership does not inclulde the following information:
a) Financial planning
b) Long term care placement advice
c) Medication advice
d) Specific dietary advice
e) Hands-on activities of daily living advice (however, we will teach you communication around ADLs)
f) How to navigate the healthcare system
However, our guest experts may touch on some of these subjects from time to time.
+ Weekly Videos
Video topics are organized in what we call the "Dementia Success Path". Click here to learn more. You will get a 5-10 minute video every week.
Topics of the videos range from educating on challenging behaviors to tutorials on how to use the tools.
Some videos are more important to watch than others, so if you fall behind, the membership is set up to where it is easy to get back on track.
+ Tools
You are given either a new tool, asked to use a previously given tool or no tool each week. After the first 2 months, you'll repeat the previous tools you were given often.
Tools are the following:
a) Guides/Workbooks- These are longer form and explain more of whatever topic we are learning
b) Cheatsheets- This is usually a one page reference that you can scan and get quick information
c) Checklist- A tool to help you keep track of tasks that help you make cargiving easier
c) Activity Ideas List- a list of ideas compadable with common challenging behaviors
d) Activity Quiz- a quiz to guide you on narrowing down the activity idea list to work for your LOWD/client
e) Shopping List- list of items you can buy to make caregiving easier
+ Small Groups
Members have a chance to meet up every week, however, small groups get together the 1st and 3rd week of the month. You will have (or become if you volunteer) a group leader of about 4-10 caregivers.
The members of your group are made up of home, distance and professional caregivers. Unlike support groups, small groups are unqiue in that you come together to problem solve vs only give support.
However, support, venting and bonding do happen in small groups!
+ Casual Member Online Hangouts
This happens every 2nd week of the month. This is an opportunity for you to connect with the larger group on a more personal level, ask questions blow off some steam.
Bring a beverage (I like wine, but you do you) and sign on to socialize.
+ Workshops
Workshops are done on a either the topic of the month or a pressing topic that members are requesting.
This hands on presentation will help you learn more about a challenging behavior and get some practice with engaging and deescelading.
+ Q&A's
Q&As bring on a guest expert or Krista, the founder of Dementia Success Path, to answer questions the community is asking for.
Topics of the Q&A can go beyond the scope of the information provided by the membership by the guest experts. However, Krista herself will only be able to answer topics that are included in the membership.
The guest experts will share information such as financial planning, placement in long term care, diet issues, medication issues etc that are outside the membership information.
